When for the first time I met Dr. Swetlikoff six months ago, my physical being was falling apart – to put it mildly, but not for lack of effort, medications or love. Brought up to rely utterly on western medicine, that saved my life on two occasions, I had received the most generous, wholehearted medical care during the six decades of my life. Yet my body was suffering greatly… blood clot, stomach pains, chest pains, joint pains and more that would not go away, regardless of medications ( which brought with them frightening and unpleasant side effects).

Doctor Swetlikoff came highly referred, but I knew very little about naturopathic medicine. I only knew that I regarded him as my last resort. Today, six months later I regard Doctor Swetlikoff’s healing abilities as a way of living that offers genuine hope, in harmony with life. My stomach pains are completely gone (for four months now) and there have been many steady uprising improvements in my health.

However, the biggest joy arrived when my daughter came for a visit a few days ago. She said “oh, mum, your face has such a wonderful glow of life. This Swetlikoff stuff is surely working”. I am an American breast cancer patient who visited the Kelowna Naturopathic Clinic in 2007 after my initial diagnosis. I was seeking a holistic and sensible approach to my condition, realizing early-on that chemotherapy and radiation were not my first treatment choices. What I found in Kelowna was quite remarkable! Twenty-two years ago, my husband & I moved to the North Okanagan from the Peace country – from one large standard grain farm, to 127 acres along the Shuswap River. He had the drive to work, but was not feeling right and was not able to make day to day decisions. We went to the medical profession and went through a battery of tests. The results – “no Alzheimer’s, but we don’t know what the problem is , so go home and get your papers in order”. Through a series of God-given events, we found Dr. Swetlikoff. His tests showed toxic levels of copper, lead, and mercury! With careful guidance and good cleansing programs, and choosing to farm organically, 20 years later, my husband is doing well – not perfect, but well, at the age of 73 – and just now retiring – maybe!

In February 2012, I was diagnosed with Colo-rectal cancer. My prognosis was dismal and I was in a state of disbelief and shock. My naturopath in Vancouver referred me to Dr. Garrett Swetlikoff (Kelowna Naturopathic Clinic).

From the moment I arrived at the Kelowna Naturopathic Clinic I felt assured, comfortable and safe. As time went on the Clinic became my sanctuary.
Dr. Swetlikoff reviewed all my test results and discussed in detail naturopathic treatment options for cancer. A treatment plan was formed, and while I waited for additional tests (scans etc.); I attended at the Kelowna Naturopathic Clinic for Vitamin C IV therapy twice a week. In addition to this, a series of tests were done, and the findings gave Dr. Swetlikoff the information he needed to make diet and supplement recommendations. I followed the diet plan very carefully.
When my CT and MRI results came in, the results of the treatment plan were obvious; the tumor was no longer visible.

It was a difficult decision, based on the scan results, to decide whether or not to proceed with surgery. In conjunction with Dr. Swetlikoff and my surgeon, we decided that surgery was my best option for a complete “cure”. In preparation for surgery Dr. Swetlikoff prescribed a regimen of supplements to be taken pre and post-surgery. I came through the surgery well. I healed quickly and, within two weeks after surgery I was walking ½ mile each day. Three weeks after surgery I was able to plant flowers in my garden.

Postoperative Pathology showed there wasn’t any spread to the 13 lymph nodes that were removed and consequently conventional treatment was not recommended. My most recent blood work came back with excellent results and no evidence of cancer.

My next series of tests (scopes, scans etc.) will be in June 2013. Dr. Swetlikoff and his team continue to monitor my well-being very closely and, as a precaution we continue with the Vitamin C IV treatments on a bi-monthly basis.

Approximately three years ago, shortly after the birth of my daughter, my health took a turn for the worse. In a complete downward spiral, life came falling apart and I had no idea why. Doctor after doctor, specialist after specialist, no one could give me an answer, yet every single one of them was quick to prescribe medications to attempt to cover up symptoms. Within two years, I was passed off to 2 separate psychiatrists, who conducted separate and full psychiatric evaluations. The results: Severe Clinical Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, PTSD, Social Phobia and Agoraphobia. Harmful and addicting medications were added to my daily routine, none of them helping, in fact I was getting worse. While my issue was not just psychological, and was more physical, severe debilitating body pain, weight gain of over 70lbs within that two year span, hair falling out complete lack of menstrual cycle at 32 years of age, complete lack of energy, every one of them told me this was all in my head, I needed to eat less and excersise more. I followed instruction religiously to no avail.

In March of 2013, I booked my first appointment with Dr. Garrett. He spend over an hour listening to me, not once making me feel like a hypochondriac. That same day, I walked out of his office with a long list of labs, labs that the other doctors could have easily written me (especially considering I had specifically asked for many of them). It turned out I have problems with my thyroid, and had hit menopause. All of my problems were due to severe hormonal imbalances. Dr. Garrett wasted no time assisting me in weaning off all of the unnecessary medications I was on and immediately started me a natural therapies, medications, supplements. Within one month I saw my life transforming and the old me resurfacing. It has been less than one year and I am now by miracle expecting my third child. Dr. Garrett has been there for me in every way shape and form, accepting last minute emergency appointments, replying to panicked emails, answering phone calls. This man is truly a God send. I have learned from him more than I ever have from anyone else, I have become my own advocate. He has guided me from a dark and desperate hole with no hope, through to the road of discovery. I have regained my health, my family, my life. There are no words to express the deepness of my gratitude my family and I both have for this man.
