Ionized Oxygen Therapy
Oxygen is necessary for life and the human organism is dependent on it. Without oxygen, humans die in about 5-6 minutes.
Ionized oxygen is produced by taking medical grade oxygen (O2) and ionizing it in a German made ionization instrument, IONOPRONT BME SUPER. The mixture of gases developed from this procedure is biologically and therapeutically more effective than medical oxygen alone and includes six oxygen forms (O2, O2-, O2+, IO2, O3 <0.03 ppm, O:). Negatively charged oxygen vs. positively charged oxygen has different effects on the body. O2- has a vagotonic effect and is used in patients suffering from hypertension, asthma, allergies, diabetes, etc. O2+ has a sympathotonic effect and is used in geriatrics, rheumatism, multiple sclerosis, cerebral blood circulation problems, cancer, etc. Often both forms are required in varying amounts to provide the best treatment outcome. The end product can be inhaled, drank in water, or mixed with natural medications via nebulization.
This therapy, which has been used extensively in Europe, has been shown to improve microcirculation and oxygen dynamics, reduce pain and inflammation, regulate the pH values of the body, reduce free radicals, regulate the immune system and improve the general health of patients. Rheumatic conditions, Alzheimer’s, pancreatitis, Parkinson’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s and Colitis), allergies, circulation problems, breathing disorders (e.g. asthma & emphysema), fatigue, mental disturbances, cancer and aging are a few diseases benefited by ionized oxygen therapy. Ionized oxygen therapy improves the effects of many traditional and holistic medical therapies and alleviates their undesirable side effects in the case of radiation, chemotherapy and surgery.
This treatment is an individual therapy in itself, however, can be used in combination with other therapies. Since this is a non-invasive modality, children tolerate this treatment very well.
Dr. Swetlikoff is one of the few Canadian physicians using Ionized Oxygen Therapy. This in-expensive therapy re-vitalizes, re-oxygenates, reduces free radicals, re-hydrates and regulates.
