Allergy Testing
Undetected allergies are one of the most common causes of unexplained illness. The first step in effective treatment is to accurately diagnose the offending agents.
Two methods of assessment are available at KNC to assess immediate and delayed allergies from food, pollen, animal, mold, chemical, phenolic, or environmental sources. One, is the Electrodermal method, which does not require a blood draw and is done in-house, and the second method, is ELISA/IgG-IgM testing, which does require blood and is sent out. Both techniques have advantages and disadvantages, however, are considered the most clinically useful at this time.
